Stop 5G in Space
With this petition we ask the U.S. representatives who serve on the U. S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space and Technology and the U. S. Senate Sub-Committee on Aviation and Space to place a moratorium on the deployment of wireless broadband satellites until such time as vital risk assessments and analyses are conducted by qualified independent experts.
To: U. S. House of Representatives Committee on Science, Space and Technology
U. S. Senate Sub-Committee on Aviation and Space
Ladies and Gentlemen,
We write to you to request an immediate moratorium on the reckless and irresponsible deployment of radiation-emitting satellites in space. Blanketing our planet in radiofrequency microwave radiation (“wireless radiation”), a known human and environmental toxicant, could have severe consequences for all life as we know it.
The theory that wireless radiation is harmless to humans, the basis for all wireless radiation-related federal regulations and legislation in the United States today, has now been conclusively proven false by thousands of independent, peer-reviewed scientific studies, including the U.S. National Toxicology Program’s $30-million-dollar study which found "clear evidence" of cancer in 2018.
Although scientists are still learning about how the natural world utilizes and depends on electromagnetic fields, scientists have proven that wireless radiation frequencies can interfere with the navigational patterns of insects and birds, as well as the normal function of pollinators. Such signals have also been shown to adversely impact plant development and growth.
It is unconscionable for any government agency to authorize, license, permit or condone the use of space for the deployment of tens of thousands of wireless radiation-beaming satellites without having first conducted vital risk assessments and analyses.
We call on you, our elected officials, to exercise your ethical, moral and legal responsibility to see that the rapacious appetite for profit among America's telecom giants does not result in an unnatural disaster of unconceivable proportions for the people of the United States, and for the billions of others with whom we share our skies.
