U.S. Rep. John Shimkus Introduces Bill to Exclude All "Communications Facilities" from Enviro Review

U.S. Representative, John Shimkus (IL-15), has introduced a bill (HR.6488) that would amend the Communications Act of 1934 to exclude all "communications facilities" from any review under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).

If this bill passes, it would mean that communities would no longer have the right to consider the environmental impacts of 24/7 exposure to wireless radiation, a scientifically-proven risk to wildlife, trees, and insects. Read the summary of the proposed bill here.

If you think this bill is outrageous as we do, call Rep. Shimkus' office and let his staff know how you feel about HR.6488 today.
