Study Finds DNA Damage in Hair Root Cells After Short-Term Exposure to Cell Phone Radiation
A 2012 study published in the International Journal of Radiation Biology found that short-term exposure (15 and 30 min) to radio-frequency radiation (900-MHz) from a mobile phone caused a significant increase in single-stranded DNA breaks in human hair root cells located around the ear where cell phones are placed.
