New Proposed FCC Order Will Speed-Up 5G Rollouts, Hampering Local Control Over Installations

At its June 9th Open Meeting, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will consider a new proposed rule introduced by FCC Commissioner Brendan Carr.

The rule, titled the "5G Upgrade Order," clarifies rules passed in 2014 in an industry-friendly manner to facilitate speedier 5G deployments nationwide. Once again, the FCC prioritizes the telecom industry's interests over the health, safety, and well-being of the American public.
